Mike Lovett was appointed Director of Operations in November 2022 and is responsible for the Operations, Track Maintenance and Mechanical departments at SRY as well as leading the Southern Railway of Vancouver Island (SVI) team. Mike joined SRY in 2014 as an Assistant Superintendent and most recently held the position of Superintendent at both SRY and Blue Water Railway Services. Mike began his railway career in 2005 and has held various positions with CN and CP prior to joining SRY and is also a member of the Safety Culture Committee and Safety and Operations Management Committee for the Railway Association of Canada.
