Harvie Wachter was appointed Manager Business Development in March 2014 and is responsible for the Agriculture and Food Products business units. He began his career with BC Hydro Railway in July 1971 and has held various positions in Customer Service, Car Accounting and Business Development. Harvie serves on the Board of Directors for the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada.
Scott Schiebler joined SRY in 1999 and advanced through numerous positions in the Operating Department including Trainman, Conductor, Locomotive Engineer and Operations Supervisor. In 2009, Scott became SRY’s Corporate Manager of Health and Safety; Scott obtained his Occupational Health and Safety Certificate from BCIT in 2014. In 2015 Scott joined the Business Development Team and currently manages the Industrial Products business unit (Steel, Chemicals, Plastics, Energy and Dimensional loads).
Monty Liang has been with Business Development since 1994 with prior experience in Customer Service. He provides pricing and analytic support and handles overcharge claims for SRY. As a member of MoveUP bargaining unit, Monty is an alternate trustee for SRY’s Pension Plan for Unionized Employees.
