Emily Mak joined SRY in October 2017. Emily’s role ranges from liaising with community stakeholders and government agencies, to advising on day-to-day activities, strategic decisions, and policy initiatives. Emily’s background includes experience in private practice with a Canadian national law firm and as in-house counsel with a Lower Mainland local government. Emily studied at the University of British Columbia and University of Hong Kong, and earned her law degree from the University of Toronto. She is a longstanding member of the Board of Directors of the British Columbia Expropriation Association.
