The ideal candidate will communicate via radio with crew members and workers in the office regarding rail transportation work to be performed, observe hand and radio signals in the yard in accordance with railroad rules and regulations, and operate track switches as needed.
The primary role will be to provide design, construction, and procurement support for active crossing protection of at-grade crossings. Secondary responsibilities will include support of other engineering activities such as utility crossings applications and supervision of railway projects.
Reporting to the Manager, Customer Services, the primary responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include but not limited to fostering an environment of continuous improvement to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, from both a operational and support view, building strong trust-based relationship with customer based on track record of win-win interactions and processing freight claims and preparation of custom manifests.
